The Product Development department is looking for a manager who is operationally engaged. As an engineering manager you are responsible for the performance, reliability, motivation and development of two Scrum teams. You are the people manager for the committed experts within the team.

Product Development (PD) develops and maintains Axon, our solution for Property & Casualty insurance providers. Axon is configurable to fit our customers’ processes and products and easy to integrate in our customers’ application landscape and with partner applications (ecosystems).
You are a leader who is truly interested in people and software development. Your creativity, technical expertise, and leadership skills will be essential in building a high performing team that delivers as it promises. In addition, you will play a key role in strategically growing the team’s headcount to meet the demands of our evolving roadmap.

Key about you
- You are a crafts(wo)man in Software Development management. You will reach the required quality by reducing open bugs and technical debt to the needed level. Furthermore, we think it is important that you have:
- Proven experience in managing product development teams;
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies;
- Experience with Agile methodologies and processes;
- You are skilled at leading and motivating your team. Capable of setting clear expectations, providing guidance and career opportunities.

Key about your responsibilities
- You will report to the Product Development Director;
- You are responsible for the people management of two scrum teams;
- Develop your people and select new talent for your teams;
- You will champion creative problem-solving and encourage open communication to generate new ideas and refine existing processes;
- Monitor and report on software quality, revenue generating features, break-down of hours spent by the team, team progress on improvements and budget;
- Play a coordinating role in Product Development strategic initiatives.
Keylane offers
- A monthly gross salary between € 4,800 and € 6,800 based on 40 hours per week;
- 8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary;
- A profit share;
- Travel reimbursement: a NS Business card or mileage allowance (€ 0.23 per km);
- 24 holiday days (with the option to buy extra) and 7 inclusion days, which can be exchanged with fixed Dutch national holidays, allowing you to take them when you like;

- A one-year contract that, subject to satisfactory performance, will be converted into a permanent contract;
- Flexibility in working environment. As part of a hybrid working team, you will work partly from home and partly from the office. If you work in the office, a free lunch is waiting for you every day. If you work from home, you will receive a working from home allowance (€ 4 net per day) and internet allowance (€ 35 net per month);
